The legend is alive. Dragon boat races have been held in this charming little town on the Rhine for more than 20 years now. The dragon boat races in Eglisau have transformed themselves over the years from a local event to a dragon boat festival which attracts national interest and enjoys a prominent position amongst the racing scene.
Although this previous insider tip has now become general knowledge, a trip to the races at Eglisau is still a lovely experience.
Together with dragonboatevents.ch GmbH, the Dragon Boat Club Eglisau is responsible for holding Europe’s oldest annual races.
The marquee, the bar and a couple of DJs make for a great atmosphere alongside the races. If you still have some energy to spare in the evening, you simply can’t miss the legendary Party Nights in the Schützenhaus Eglisau.
