Categories
The Dragon Boat Race is subdivided into four different categories. Three of those categories are in the Fun Class and one category is in the Elite Class:
The Fun Classes:
- Fun Woman (The entire team is made up of female paddlers (a male may however man the drum))
- Fun Mixed (These teams must contain at least eight female paddlers. If the drummer is a woman, she may not be counted as a paddler)
- Fun Open (free team configuration)
Only two professional paddlers may participate in the Fun Class races.
The Elite Class
- Elite Open (free team configuration)
If there are too few entries for any one category, categories may be merged.
